Our School Logo

The formal shield logo and stylised ‘WPHS’ logo were a result of extensive community consultation including surveys, design submissions, design meetings and tremendous support from Kassandra Dunn at ‘Creative Connect’. We thank the community for their input.

FORMAL LOGO

The formal logo is a modern style logo in a traditional shield shape. The majestic soaring white-bellied sea eagle symbolises strength and growth. The water wave line represents the Parramatta River. The stylised ‘W’ is inspired by the shape of Wentworth Point at Parramatta River and is formed like an organic Parramatta River eel morphing and interlinking into a ‘P’ to represent Wentworth Point. The indigenous eel as a totem represents resilience.

STYLISED ‘WPHS’ LOGO IMAGE

The stylised ‘W’ represents the shape of the Parramatta River at Wentworth Point as shown in the section image of the Parramatta River. It is also representing a stylised organic eel shape. The Parramatta River is derived from the Dharug word Barramada meaning ‘where the eels lie down’. The eel as a totem represents resilience.

The stylised ‘W’ morphs into an interlinking ‘P’ to represent Wentworth Point. The ‘H’ and ‘S’ flow from ‘WP’ to complete the initials of the school.
